In the midst of protests against the arrest, Imran Khan's party organises a gathering in Islamabad
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has directed the party officials, workers, and supporters to assemble at the Islamabad Judicial Complex at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, asserting that ongoing nationwide rallies will continue till the release of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan.
Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said on its official Twitter account: "Important orders from the party leadership: Senior leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf and workers and supporters of Islamabad will converge to Judicial Complex Islamabad at 8 am. Up till Imran Khan's release, protests and sit-ins will continue in their current sites across the nation.
Fawad Chaudhry, senior vice president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), announced on Wednesday that the party would appeal the Islamabad High Court's decision to uphold the arrest of Imran Khan. The verdict of the Islamabad High Court was deemed "surprising" by Fawad Chaudhry.The leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was detained outside of Islamabad.
The National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) warrant in the Al-Qadir Trust case was presented to the High Court by Rangers. According to Geo News, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) deemed the former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan's arrest "legal" on Tuesday.
The reserved decision was issued by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, who had expressed concerns about the Rangers' decision to remove Imran Khan from the court's grounds on Tuesday.
Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and others are the subject of an inquiry by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over the purported acquisition of hundreds of acres of land in the name of the Al Qadir University Trust, which is said to have cost the national exchequer 190 million pounds.

Imran Khan and the other defendants are accused of adjusting rupees 50 billion (190 million pounds) submitted to the government at the time by the British National Crime Agency (NCA), according to the allegations. On December 26, 2019, the ex-cricketer-turned-politician set up the Trust for Al-Qadir University Project.
Pakistan has seen a rise in protests following Imran Khan's detention. According to Geo News, PTI workers demonstrated in a number of cities across the nation, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, and Mardan.
