Tulsi leaves have religious importance, but it is also such a herb, which is a boon for your health. Indore's astrologer Pandit Girish Vyas tells that if there is no Tulsi leaf in the offering made to Lord Vishnu, then he does not accept the offering.

He tells that after scientific research it has been found that compounds like caffeine, eugenol and cineole are present in Tulsi. Together, these prove to be very helpful in curing viral, bacterial and fungal infections of the respiratory system.

Apart from this, Vitamin K is also found in Tulsi. It is a fat-soluble vitamin, which strengthens the bones. Eating 4 Tulsi leaves every morning on an empty stomach prevents diseases like diabetes, blood disorders, Vata, Pitta, cancer etc.

Sitting near the Tulsi plant daily provides relief from diseases like breathing and asthma. Drinking Tulsi water daily relieves stress and calms the mind. Also, immunity increases i.e. the immune system becomes stronger.

Tulsi starts giving signals before any trouble comes in the house. Despite taking great care of the plant, it starts drying. Vastu defects can be removed by planting Tulsi plant in the place from Agni angle to Vayavya angle of the house.

The acetic acid present in Tulsi helps in breaking stones. It reduces the level of uric acid. Tulsi leaves also prove to be very beneficial in skin related disorders. Tulsi works as a natural mouth freshener and also proves helpful in curing mouth ulcers.
