Your heart is one of the most important organs and you must keep your lifestyle perfect to keep it healthy. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 17.9 million people die every year from heart disease. Of which 85% die due to heart attack and stroke. Heart diseases have increased steadily in recent years. Poor lifestyle, eating habits, and lack of physical activity often increase the risk of heart disease.

Due to all these reasons, plaque starts accumulating in the arteries, blocking the path of blood circulation. When your arteries get blocked, it can lead to heart attack and stroke. Therefore, you need to know whether your heart is healthy or not. Here are some signs and symptoms of a healthy heart.

Blood pressure

Keep getting your BP checked regularly. When your BP remains normal, it is a sign of a healthy heart. If your BP is not normal, it is a sign that your arteries are working properly and there is no blockage in them.

Chest pain

If you feel any kind of chest pain or have experienced it before, it could be a sign of heart blockage. However, if you do not have chest pain while exercising or even while resting, it is a sign that your heart is healthy.

Energy

If you are a person who feels energetic throughout the day, it is a good sign for your heart. People who have heart blockage or any other heart-related problem start feeling tired. This is a sign that their heart is not working properly.

Cholesterol

Normal cholesterol levels are another sign of a healthy heart. Therefore, you must keep checking your cholesterol levels. Also, keep getting your cholesterol checked regularly. When the amount of bad cholesterol in your body increases, it increases the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Breathing

When you don't have any problem breathing, it is a sign that your heart is healthy. Breathing can become difficult when you have heart disease. This is because oxygen is not able to reach the heart and other parts of the body properly.

Heartbeat

If your heartbeat is regular, it is a sign of a healthy heart. Irregular heartbeat, whether too fast or too slow, can be a bad sign as it is a sign of heart disease.

Swelling

Swelling in the hands, feet, toes and ankles can be a sign of heart disease. This happens because your heart is not pumping properly and these areas are not getting the required oxygen, which eventually leads to swelling.
