Many of us feel pain or a burning sensation at the end of urination. Although we ignore it as common, it can be caused by serious problems. Pain at the end of urination may be caused by dysuria. However, there may be other problems behind this. Let us know about the causes of pain at the end of urination.
Urinary tract infection (UTI): This is the most common cause of painful urination in both men and women. This happens when bacteria, particularly E. coli. Coli, invades the urinary tract. Symptoms include a burning sensation when urinating, frequent need to urinate and having murky or smelly urine.
Bladder infection (cystitis): UTI or inflammation of the bladder caused by chemical burns from soap or hygiene products can cause discomfort. Another chronic disease, interstitial cystitis can also have similar symptoms without any infection.
Kidney and bladder stones: Minerals can build up in the urinary track and cause sharp, sharp pain, especially when passing through the urethra during urination. Sometimes blood may appear in the urine, or there may be sharp pain in the back or arm.
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs): STIs such as gonorrhea or chlamydia can cause inflammation of the urethra, resulting in pain during urination.
Urethritis: Inflammation of the urethra, often due to infection or irritation, can irritate, especially at the end of urination.
Interstitial Cystitis: Also known as Interstitial Cystitis Painful Bladder Syndrome, this chronic condition causes discomfort in the bladder and urethra, especially during urination.
Prostatitis: In men, inflammation of the prostate gland can cause pain during or after urination.
Vaginal irritation or infection: In women, vaginal infections such as yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis can cause external discomfort during urination.
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: Tight or weak pelvic muscles can interfere with urination, causing pain or pressure.
Dehydration: Not taking the right amount of fluids can cause discomfort of excessively thick urine.
Bladder Cancer: Although it is rare it is a condition that can often cause pain when urinating with blood in the urine.
