What is Chandipura virus?

This can lead to neurologic problems and potentially fatal autoimmune encephalitis within the first 24 hours of onset. Severe cases of this disease have shown mortality rates ranging from 56% to 75%.

Chandipura virus disease often begins with high fever. Apart from this, the affected person experiences symptoms like seizures, diarrhea and vomiting after fever. In such a situation, if there is less awareness about this, it can cause death.
