Batra Heart & Multispecialty Hospital Faridabad Saves Over 110 Lives in a Year, Celebrates Zero Mortality Rate
Heart patients who got a new lease of life at the hospital felicitated on the eve of World Heart Day
Over 110 patients with massive heart attacks and severe heart-related ailments were saved through prompt medical intervention in a year at Batra Heart & Multispecialty Group, Faridabad.
Dr Pankaj Batra, Director and Chairman of Cardiac Sciences, disclosed this on the eve of World Heart Day while addressing a felicitation and anniversary function in the hospital.
“We had zero mortality rate among 110 patients, which gave them a new lease of life after successful intervention at the hospital. Most of the patients who are attending this function had severe heart attacks and had 100 percent blockages,” said Dr Pankaj.
All the patients from Kashmir to Kerala aged 55-85 who attended the function narrated their life-saving experiences at Batra Heart & Multispecialty Hospital, Faridabad.
A middle-aged patient from Delhi who identified himself as David revealed the circumstances that led to Dr Pankaj’s prompt intervention, which gave him a new lease of life.
“I treated my heart issue as a gas-related problem and took a lot of medicines for gas and acidity. As my chest pain grew, I was rushed to Batra Hospital Faridabad where Dr Pankaj immediately treated me, and thus my life got saved,” said David, whose wife echoed the sentiments of most patients who were saved before her eyes.
Most patients expressed optimism about Batra Hospital Faridabad's remaining open on Sundays, highlighting its commitment to critical care in emergencies during holidays.
“Our zero mortality rate is a testament to our team’s dedication and expertise. We have set our benchmarks for successful interventions, like door-to-balloon time, which is less than 30 minutes, making it a lifesaving format for the patients,” said Dr Pankaj.
Not only were patients felicitated, but the management also presented merit certificates to ICU staff, nurses, doctors, and all employees who take care of patients during pre- and post-emergency hospitalization.
On the occasion, Chairman Batra Heart & Multispecialty Hospital, Faridabad Ramesh Kumar Batra, released Dr Pankaj's informative book, ‘Prevention of Heart Disease.’
Emphasizing lifestyle modification to prevent heart ailments, Dr Pankaj suggested limited regular exercise or walking, not brisk, a stress-free mindset, no smoking, and occasional medical checkups with an eye on BP and Diabetes.
“Despite innovative medical interventions, the latest data as of 2019 reveals that 1.8 crore people died of heart-related complications, and Asia contributed to 58 percent of such deaths,” said Dr Pankaj, blaming irregular sleep, constant use of mobile, junk food, and smoking as patterns for such heart attacks.
Batra Heart & Multispecialty Hospital continues to set benchmarks in cardiac care, offering hope and healing to patients across India.
