India's Pride: Dr. Purohit from RTU Kota Makes it to Prestigious Global Scientists List

Dr. S.D. Purohit from Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Kota recognized as one of the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier's prestigious list.

Dr. S.D. Purohit from Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota, has secured a place in the 7th edition of the prestigious list of the world’s top 2% scientists for the year 2024, published under the joint auspices of Stanford University, California, USA, and Elsevier.

According to RTU's Assistant Public Relations Officer, Vikram Rathore, renowned mathematician Dr. Purohit, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at RTU, has made significant contributions in the fields of Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Biology.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. S.K. Singh extended his congratulations to Dr. Purohit, stating that this global recognition is a commendable achievement that underscores RTU’s growing international presence. Prof. Singh remarked that this honor highlights the high quality of Dr. Purohit's research and serves as an inspiration for young scientists and researchers, contributing to India’s rising stature on the global scientific stage.

Dr. Purohit described this recognition as a significant milestone in his career, dedicating the honor to his parents for their unwavering support.

With 250 research papers published in high-impact journals and a total of 4,254 citations on Google Scholar, Dr. Purohit’s research boasts an impressive H-index of 35 and an i10-index of 121. He has also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Lebanese American University, Beirut Campus, Lebanon.

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Purohit’s extensive research on fractional calculus, integral transforms, mathematical modelling, and mathematical biology has brought RTU, Kota, to new heights in research excellence on the global stage.
