Shahid Kapoor, who attended the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), spoke openly to the media about working in South Indian cinema.
He said, “I am ready to work in South Indian cinema, but I am afraid of what will happen if the South Indian audience is not happy with my dialogue delivery. I do not want to leave any stone unturned; I have a good command over Hindi.' When asked which South language film he particularly likes, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam or Kannada, the actor replied, 'For me, it's all the same, because I don't know any of these. So if any South filmmaker can trust me, explain things to me properly and answer all my questions, then I am ready to work for them.”
Shahid will soon be seen in the film 'Deva' in which he is paired with Pooja Hegde. Directed by Roshan Andrews, the film will see Shahid playing the role of a cop. Talking about the film, the actor said, 'It's an action film, so there's a lot of action in it. You will get to see tremendous thrill in it which will force you to think who did it. I am playing an aggressive character in it. It's a great film, if we make the right teaser and trailer, it will thrill you. It will be released on February 14 next year and I am waiting for the audience's response.' The 24th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is currently underway in Abu Dhabi.
